Frequently Asked Questions

Is my donation tax-deductible?
The Good Kitchen is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. You'll receive a receipt for your records.
How are funds used?
Your donation supports: fresh, quality ingredients that meet our standards for nutrition and taste; access to licensed commercial kitchens where chef partners prepare meals safely; distribution and logistics to get meals to families through community partners; and program growth to serve more families and engage more chefs. We operate lean and accountable-no bloated overhead.
How can chefs get involved?
We welcome culinary professionals to join our chef partner network! You can participate through Chef Residencies (ongoing partnerships), Guest Chef Service Dates (one-time or occasional), or Chef Partnership Nights (collaborative events). Visit our Chef Partners page to learn more.
What makes The Good Kitchen different?
We're not a food bank. We're not a soup kitchen. We partner with professional chefs to prepare high-quality meals for families facing food insecurity. Every dish is made with the same care and quality you'd find in a restaurant-because everyone deserves to eat well. It's dignity, not charity.
